do you want to play or not?

Captain wants to play, but Julian wants to sleep. They are brothers from Bubbie's (Bubba) first litter (5, but 3 survived.. Captain, Julian and Snipe.) Their dad Cookie died shortly after the pups were born, succumbed to illness. Bubbie too, was warded for 10 days and night with a 30% chance of survival (parvovirus). She fought and survived. Strong girl! We visited her every night at the ward.

Question.. how did Captain get his foxy orange, and Julian looks like a mop? (Julian is just like his dad, Cookie. I still call him Cookie sometimes.)

Malayan tiger { panthera tigris jacksoni }

Malayan tigers ( Panthera tigris jacksoni ) at the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park. Malayan tigers are found in the southern and central parts of Peninsula Malaysia. Recent counts showed there are 600-800 in the wild, making it the largest tiger population other than the Bengal and Indochinese tigers. It is still an endangered sub-species.

This is perhaps the smallest extant sub-species of tiger. Its stripe pattern is similar to the Indochinese tiger but its size is closer to the Sumatran tiger. The average weight is 120 kg for adult males and 100 kg for females. Male Malayan tigers are around 237cm in length from head to tail and female Malayan tigress around 200cm in length.

I enjoy watching and observing the orangutans. Besides their playful antics and agility, they have an uncanny and amusing resemblance to humans in their expressions.
